What is the Random URL Generator?
Web applications handle URLs everywhere: link fields, redirects, bookmarks, analytics and API payloads. This generator creates realistic, well-formed URLs to exercise that code. Each one combines a brandable domain (sometimes with a www subdomain), a common extension, and one or more path segments such as /signal/candle/crystal.
Turn on “Include query string” to append parameters like ?q=tunnel or ?utm_source=6721, which is handy for testing parsers, tracking-parameter handling and URL encoding. Use the Protocol option to choose https:// or http://, and create up to 100 URLs per batch. Every URL is syntactically valid and ready to paste into a test or a seed file.
The URLs are generated in your browser and are meant as sample data, not as real links. Because they are built from random words, a domain could happen to exist on the internet, so avoid clicking or crawling them, and never use them in places where real users might follow them.

Anatomy of a URL
A URL has several parts: the scheme (https), the host (www.harborpath.org), the path (/candle) and an optional query string that starts with a question mark and holds key=value pairs. Fragments after a # are another optional part. Testing each part separately — especially query strings — catches many parsing and encoding bugs.
A note on safety
Generated URLs point to made-up addresses that may or may not exist. Use them only in test environments and mockups, not in emails or live pages. Press Generate again for a fresh set — it’s free and unlimited.
Frequently asked questions
Are the generated URLs real websites?
They are random combinations meant for testing. Some domains might exist by coincidence, so don’t treat them as safe links or visit them.
Can I generate URLs without query strings?
Yes. Switch off “Include query string” to get clean URLs with just a domain and path.
Can I choose http instead of https?
Yes. Set Protocol to http:// — useful for testing redirects and mixed-content handling.
How many URLs can I create at once?
Up to 100 per batch, exportable as CSV, JSON or plain text.
