About this tool
This online rock paper scissors game works two ways. Leave “Your move” on “Just pick one for me” and press Generate to get a random throw — ✊ Rock, ✋ Paper or ✌️ Scissors — with the reminder “Throw it!”. Use it as a neutral move when you are playing someone in person or need a quick decision.
Or pick Rock, Paper or Scissors yourself and play against the computer. The tool shows both moves side by side and tells you whether you win, lose or draw. The rules are the classic ones: rock crushes scissors, scissors cut paper and paper covers rock. Matching moves are a draw.
The computer’s throw is chosen with the Web Crypto API, giving each of the three moves an equal one-in-three chance. It does not look at your choice and does not learn your habits, so it cannot cheat — and you cannot predict it. Everything runs in your browser, with no account, no ads between rounds and no limit on how many games you play.
How to use it
- Open the Your move menu and choose Rock, Paper or Scissors — or leave it on “Just pick one for me”.
- Press Generate to throw.
- Read the result: your move, the computer’s move and whether you won, lost or drew.
- Press Enter or Space to play the next round, and keep score best of three or five.

Is there a winning strategy?
Against a truly random opponent, no. Each move wins one third of the time, loses one third and draws one third, whatever you choose. Strategy only matters against people, who tend to repeat patterns — for example, some players switch after losing or favor rock on the first throw. Those habits vary, so treat them as hunches rather than rules.
That is exactly why a random throw is useful as a tiebreaker: nobody can claim the other side read their mind. Press Generate again for another round — it’s free and unlimited.
