What is the Random Playing Card Generator?
The Random Playing Card Generator deals from a standard 52-card French deck: four suits (spades ♠, hearts ♥, diamonds ♦ and clubs ♣) with thirteen ranks each, from Ace through 2–10 to Jack, Queen and King. Set “Cards to draw” anywhere from 1 to 52 and press Generate. Each card is shown with its short code and full name — for example “J♠ (Jack of Spades)” — and hearts and diamonds appear in red, just like real cards.
Switch on “Include jokers” to add two jokers, making a 54-card deck. Every draw comes from a fresh deck and cards are dealt without replacement, so the same card can never appear twice in one hand. Draw all 52 and you get a complete, randomly ordered deck.
Cards are selected with the Web Crypto API, giving each card an equal chance. That makes the tool handy for card games without a physical deck, teaching probability, magic practice or making quick decisions. Results can be copied or exported as CSV, JSON or plain text.

Playing card odds worth knowing
In a 52-card deck, any single card has a 1 in 52 chance of being drawn first. There are 13 cards per suit, so the chance of a heart is 1 in 4, and there are four of each rank, so an Ace comes up 1 time in 13. Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) make up 12 cards, or about 23% of the deck.
Because cards are dealt without replacement, odds change as a hand grows: once one Ace is out, only three remain among the cards left. Try it yourself — press Generate again for a fresh deal; it’s free and unlimited.
Frequently asked questions
Can the same card appear twice in one draw?
No. Cards are dealt without replacement from a single deck, so each card appears at most once per draw.
How many cards can I draw at once?
You can draw 1 to 52 cards. Drawing 52 gives you the whole deck in random order.
Can I include jokers?
Yes. Turn on “Include jokers” to add two jokers to the deck.
Is every card equally likely?
Yes. The deck is shuffled with the Web Crypto API, so every card has the same chance of being dealt.
