Japanese address format explained
Japanese addresses identify blocks rather than streets: chลme, block and building numbers are written as 1-2-3, followed by the ward, the city, the prefecture and a seven-digit postal code in the 123-4567 format. Our generator writes them in the romanised Western order used on international mail.
Cities included
Addresses are spread across major cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, Nagoya and Kyoto, plus many regional centres.
Japanese phone numbers
Tokyo numbers start with 03 and Osaka with 06, while mobile numbers begin with 090, 080 or 070 and are written 090-1234-5678.
