What is the Secret Santa Generator?
The Secret Santa Generator handles the whole name draw for an office, family or friend group. Type the participants into the box, one name per line, and press Generate. You get a card for every person showing who they buy a gift for, such as “Finley → Casey (buys a gift for)”.
The draw follows the rules people expect: everyone gives exactly one gift, everyone receives exactly one gift, and nobody draws their own name. The tool shuffles the list with the Web Crypto API and then links the shuffled names into a single gift circle, so each person gives to the next one in the shuffled order. You need at least three participants.
Names are processed in your browser and never uploaded, so there is no account to create and no email list to hand over. Because the full list appears on one screen, it works best when one organizer runs the draw and then privately messages each person their match. Results can be copied or exported as CSV, JSON or text for your records.
How to use the Secret Santa Generator

How to run a smooth Secret Santa
Agree on a budget, a deadline and a gift-giving date before you draw. Ask everyone for a short wish list or a few likes and dislikes — it makes shopping easier and avoids duplicate mugs. If the organizer is also taking part, consider asking a non-participant to run the draw and send the matches so the surprise stays intact.
