Turkish address format explained
Turkish addresses start with the neighbourhood (Mahallesi, abbreviated Mah.), then the street (Caddesi or Sokak), the building number (No) and flat (Daire), followed by a five-digit postal code and district/province. The first two digits of the code equal the provinceโs licence-plate number โ 34 for Istanbul, 06 for Ankara.
Cities included
Addresses are spread across major cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa and Antalya, plus many regional centres.
Turkish phone numbers
Turkish landlines have a three-digit area code (212/216 Istanbul, 312 Ankara) and mobiles begin with 05.
