What is the Random Street Name Generator?

The Random Street Name Generator produces street names that follow the naming habits of real places. Choose a country from the Country menu — Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Japan, Nigeria and many more — or leave it on “Random country” to mix names from around the world. Each result shows the street name followed by the flag and country it belongs to, for example “Bredstræde (🇩🇰 Denmark)” or “Mozartplatz (🇦🇹 Austria)”.

Street names carry a lot of local flavor: suffixes such as Street, Road and Close in English-speaking countries, Avenida and Rua in Latin America, -straße and -platz in German-speaking regions, and -stræde or -gade in Denmark. Using names that match the setting makes a story, a game map or a demo address form feel authentic instead of generic.

Set “How many?” anywhere from 1 to 100 and press Generate. Everything is created in your browser with the Web Crypto API, nothing is stored, and you can copy the list or export it as CSV, JSON or TXT.

How street names differ around the world

English-speaking countries tend to place the type after the name: Marina Close, Park Road, Church Street. Spanish and Portuguese speakers put it first — Avenida, Calle, Rua — and often honor historical figures or dates. In German, Danish and Dutch the type is usually fused into one word, as in Mozartplatz or Bredstræde, which matters if your form validation expects a space.

These names are for creative and testing purposes. A generated street may or may not exist somewhere, so never use it to impersonate a real address. Press Generate again for a fresh set — it’s free and unlimited.
