What is the Random IBAN Generator?

The Random IBAN Generator creates International Bank Account Numbers that follow the official structure for Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Ireland — or a random mix of all eight. Each number starts with the two-letter country code, followed by two check digits and the country’s basic bank account number, and has the correct length for that country: 22 characters for Germany, the UK and Ireland, 18 for the Netherlands, 27 for France, 16 for Belgium, 21 for Switzerland and 20 for Austria.

The check digits are calculated with the ISO 7064 mod-97 method, so every IBAN passes the standard checksum used by form validators and payment libraries. You can create up to 50 numbers per click, show them grouped in blocks of four (the usual printed format) or as one unbroken string, and each result is labeled with its country and character count.

The account numbers are random, so they do not belong to real customers. Use them to fill test databases, check input masks and confirm that your validation rejects typos while accepting correct formats.

How to use the Random IBAN Generator

  1. Choose a Country from the list, or leave it on Random for a mix of all eight.
  2. Set How many? to any number from 1 to 50.
  3. Turn Group in blocks of 4 on for printed style or off for compact, machine-friendly strings.
  4. Press Generate, then copy the list or export it as CSV, JSON or TXT.

Popular uses

  • QA testers — verify that IBAN fields accept valid formats and reject wrong check digits.
  • Developers — seed staging databases with realistic, checksum-valid account numbers.
  • Fintech teams — demo SEPA payment flows without exposing customer data.
  • UX designers — preview how long French or short Belgian IBANs fit in your layouts.
  • Trainers — teach how IBAN structure and check digits work with safe examples.

Why use RandNow?

  • Instant & unlimited — no sign-up, no daily caps.
  • Private by design — results are generated in your browser, not on our servers.
  • Export-ready — copy, CSV, JSON and TXT downloads built in.
  • Cryptographically random — powered by the Web Crypto API.

How IBAN check digits work

To validate an IBAN, move the first four characters to the end, replace every letter with a number (A = 10, B = 11 … Z = 35) and divide the resulting long number by 97. A valid IBAN always leaves a remainder of 1. This catches nearly all single-character typos and swapped digits, which is why banks check it before sending money.

For testing only

A valid checksum does not mean an account exists. These IBANs are for software testing, demos and education — never use them to mislead anyone or attempt a payment. Press Generate again for a fresh set — it’s free and unlimited.

Frequently asked questions

Are these IBANs real bank accounts?

No. They follow the correct format and pass the mod-97 checksum, but the account numbers are random and are not linked to real people or banks.

Which countries are supported?

Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Ireland, or a random mix of all eight.

How many IBANs can I generate at once?

You can create up to 50 IBANs per click and generate again as often as you like.

Can I get IBANs without spaces?

Yes. Turn off “Group in blocks of 4” to get each IBAN as a single unbroken string, which is how most systems store them.
