What is the Random Age Generator?
The Random Age Generator picks whole-number ages between a minimum and maximum you choose, anywhere from 0 to 120. By default it returns ages from 18 to 80, a typical adult range for sample data and forms.
Each age is shown with an approximate birth year calculated from the current year — for example 37 years (Born 1988). Because a person’s exact birth year depends on whether their birthday has already passed this year, treat the year as a close estimate. If you need complete dates of birth, use the Random Birthday Generator instead.
You can create up to 100 ages per click and export them as CSV, JSON or TXT to populate spreadsheets, test databases or classroom exercises. Every age in the range has the same chance of appearing. Randomness comes from the Web Crypto API in your browser, and nothing is stored or sent anywhere. Press Enter or Space for a new batch, or share a link that keeps your chosen range so teammates get the same setup.

Tips for realistic age data
Match your range to your audience: 18–65 for working-age profiles, 0–17 for school or pediatric scenarios and 65–100 for retirement or care settings. Test the edges too — set the minimum and maximum to 17 and 18 to confirm an age gate works exactly at the boundary. Remember that uniform random ages do not mirror real population pyramids, so they suit testing better than statistics. For classroom practice, generate twenty ages and ask students to find the mean, median, mode and range by hand.
Press Generate again for a fresh batch — it’s free and unlimited.
