What is the Random Pastel Color Generator?
The Random Pastel Color Generator opens in Pastel mode and creates light, softly saturated colors: lavenders like #BEA9EF, creamy yellows like #EDEAC0, peachy tones like #F6BCA2 and more. Pastels have high lightness and gentle saturation, which is why they feel calm, playful and approachable.
By default the tool shows 12 swatches, and the How many? setting goes from 1 to 60. Every swatch shows its hex code so you can paste it straight into CSS, Canva, Figma or any design tool. If you want a different look, the Palette menu still lets you switch to Fully random, Vivid, Dark, Named colors or a Harmonious palette.
Colors are generated in your browser with the Web Crypto API and nothing is stored. Copy a single hex code, copy all of them or export the list as CSV, JSON or TXT. Share a link with a friend or client to reopen the tool with the same settings.

Designing with pastels
Pastels look best with a clear anchor. Pair two or three pastel swatches with one darker neutral — a deep gray or navy — for text and outlines. That keeps the design airy without becoming washed out.
Be careful with readability: white text on a pastel background is usually hard to read, so use dark text instead and check the contrast. For print, remember that screens show colors with light while printers use ink, so very pale tones can look slightly different on paper; print a test sample first. Press Generate again for a new set of pastels — it’s free and unlimited.
