What is the Random Even & Odd Number Generator?
Sometimes a random number is not enough — you need one with a particular parity. This generator returns only even numbers or only odd numbers from any range you set. An even number divides by 2 with nothing left over (…, −2, 0, 2, 4, …), while an odd number leaves a remainder of 1 (…, −1, 1, 3, 5, …).
By default it picks ten even numbers between 1 and 100, but you can switch the Type to odd numbers and move the Minimum and Maximum anywhere between minus one billion and one billion, including negative ranges. Choose up to 200 numbers per click; each one is drawn fairly from all matching values in your range, so no even or odd number is favored over another.
Randomness comes from the Web Crypto API built into your browser. Nothing is stored, and you can copy the results instantly or export them as CSV, JSON or TXT. A shareable link keeps your type, range and count, so classmates or teammates can reuse the same setup.

Quick parity tricks
You can tell whether a number is even or odd from its last digit alone: 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 mean even; 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 mean odd. Even plus even is even, odd plus odd is also even, and even plus odd is odd. When multiplying, the result is odd only if both numbers are odd. These rules make great quick-fire classroom questions with a list of random numbers. Ask students to predict the parity of each sum before calculating it, then check the answers together.
